No, and a sizeable share of our sessions end with no purchase at all. You leave with a written spec sheet listing lengths, lofts, lies, shaft models, weights and grip sizes. Take it wherever you like. We would rather build the clubs, obviously, but the fee covers the fitting and the sheet is yours either way.

Pulling and replacing shafts in a decent set of forged irons costs a fraction of a new set and frequently produces a bigger scoring change, because the mismatch was in the shaft rather than the head. Loft, lie, length and grip changes are all done here on the bench.

Eight days is the honest average, measured from the day the components land rather than the day you book. Stock shafts and grips we hold are quicker, sometimes three or four days. Anything custom ordered from a manufacturer runs on their calendar and we will give you their estimate rather than inventing one.

Because build work done between appointments is build work done badly. Wednesday is a full day of regripping, shaft pulling, epoxy cures and loft and lie checks with nobody waiting in a bay. It is the reason turnaround times here are predictable.

Yes. The test racks carry left handed heads across every category, though the shaft selection is identical since shafts do not care. If you play left handed, mention it when booking so the right heads are already out on the bench when you arrive.

Loft and lie once a year for anyone who plays regularly, because forged heads move and cast heads get dropped. Grips at roughly forty rounds in this climate, sooner if you play in summer humidity without a towel. Groove condition on wedges depends entirely on practice volume rather than age, so we check them free whenever you are in the building.

No, and we do not pretend otherwise. Bounce and sole grind exist to manage how a club enters the ground, and a mat cannot reproduce that. Wedge sessions include time on the grass tee slot next door. If the weather makes that impossible we will offer to reschedule rather than fit you off a mat and hope.

Two players can share a three hour block if you are both after single club work, and it is a common request from couples and from father and son pairs. A full bag session for two needs two separate appointments, because the measurement work alone fills the time.

We do not run a trade-in desk. It keeps the advice clean, since nobody here profits from telling you your current clubs are finished. We will happily tell you what your set is worth privately and what it would cost to bring it up to spec instead.
